The season starts around the beginning of July. Unfortunately, we have to wait for the schools’ rugby season to end. However, we are planning some exciting rugby clinics for May and June.
The club rugby season usually ends around September or October every year.
Once the club rugby season commences, Knights will have practice sessions every Friday evening, from 18h00-20h00 for all age groups.
Primary school players (U/6-U/13) have their practice sessions at Woodhill College.
High school players (U/14-U/19) have their practice sessions at Woodhill College.
Once the club rugby season commences, matches are played every Saturday.
We often visit other clubs to play matches away, but we also host home matches at Woodhill College.
Players play matches in plain white rugby shorts. Knights branded white rugby shorts can be ordered/bought at the club. Knights Rugby jerseys are provided by the club on match days and must be returned after the match.
In 2024, the Blue Bulls Youth Rugby Association (BBYRA) decided that U/13 players must play club rugby in rugby boots. All U/13 and High School players (U/14-U/19) must wear Knights rugby socks that will be available to purchase when the club rugby season commences.
No. According to the BBYRA, if a player is registered with another club, a transfer form must be completed and signed by the player’s existing club, before the player may be registered with Knights.
